Statistics on living conditions describe living conditions of the household population, such as risk of poverty or social exclusion, subjective well-being, livelihood, health and housing by population group. Data are collected annually with the Survey on Income and Living Conditions and also delivered to Eurostat's EU-SILC statistics.

According to Statistics Finland 777,000 persons or 14.3 % of the household population were at risk of poverty or social exclusion in 2020. Persons living in low income households, households with low work intensity or households that experience severe material and social deprivation are considered being at risk of poverty or social exclusion. The compilation of the statistics has been renewed in accordance with the European Statistical System.
