Financial data reported by wellbeing services counties

Wellbeing services counties reported their financial data for 2021 and 2022 to Statistics Finland. We publish these data in a separate database. The database contains data on the income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets of the wellbeing services counties.

Data quality and regional coverage

The data are reported by wellbeing services counties. Statistics Finland is not responsible for their content or quality.

The database does not contain data from the City of Helsinki or Åland.

For which time periods are data published?

Data for 2021 are only available for the whole year, but quarterly data for 2022 are also published.

Quarterly income statements and cash flow statements data are collected as cumulative figures for the period from the beginning of the year to the end of each quarter. For example, the first quarter contains data for the period 1 January to 31 March 2022, and the second for the period 1 January to 30 June 2022. Balance sheet data are presented as on the end date of each quarter. The data for the last quarter thus describe the financial statement for the whole year.

Wellbeing services counties and joint county authorities for wellbeing services report their financial data to the State Treasury starting from 2023, and these data are available in the Exploreadministration.fi service.

How the data are collected?

The data are collected in the collection of financial data from wellbeing services counties.

Data are inquired from wellbeing services counties that were founded in 2021 or later. Therefore, the City of Helsinki and Åland are not included in the data collection.
